July’s Give Away starts now to celebrate the launch of Pottermore!
And goes until July 31st for Harry Potter’s birthday.
Since the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, I have been a giant geeky Potterhead. I’ve attended every midnight release and party (in costume and/or painting faces) for the books and movies.
Sadly, I've never had the honor of meeting Ms. Rowling, but I still hold out hope.
The opening day at Pottermore has been ... well, let's just say the website can't handle the traffic and has been crashing all day, due to the overwhelming amount of people trying to submit their email addresses (me too!).
It's going to be awesome though, so make sure to check it out.
A sneak peak of what the site will look like after October. |
Here's the good news for you my loyal followers. I am saluting you, by giving one lucky winner a Hogwarts Express load of Harry Potter books and memorabilia.
1. A personalized Hogwarts Acceptance Letter. |
2. The complete gift set of years 1-7. |
3. A DARK TIMES AHEAD T-Shirt (available in M-L) |
4. Harry Potter's wand and case. |
5. Hermione Granger's Time Turner. |
6. Slytherin's Locket Horcrux | |
And there you have it.

ReplyDeleteoops updated for book:
ReplyDeleteHi! It's Sophia here. Even though I scored Gryffindor on the house tests, I'm also drawn to Slytherin. I like how the dark and light sides balance each other. The first book will always be a classic to me, but I cried hardest at the last one.

I'm so excited about Pottermore! It's going to bring the books to life even more tahn the films :)
ReplyDeleteI am definitely a Ravenclaw and I think The Goblet of Fire is my favorite book. I like the way the films have evolved, but I have a softspot for #1. I still get excited for HArry when he first sees Diagon Alley and I still weep during the Morror of Erised scene. Yes, a total sap, I am :)
Thanks for the contest! I admit I am entering for the bling. The locket is awesome!

ReplyDeleteThe best thing that ever happened.
I'm loving the answers! Y'all are so creative!

Jessica here, Blogger ID is Ivy... I'd have to say I am a Gryffindor, it may be cliche but, I see myself as one of them. Gryffindor emphasizes the traits of courage as well as "daring, nerve, and chivalry," and thus its members are generally regarded as brave, though sometimes to the point of recklessness. I'd have to say that explains me.. but not In real life, that explains me in my make believe world. My world of magic that lives in my soul. That inner part of a woman or man, that lives through the make believe- because sometimes the real world is harsh, or even because some parts of real magic exist within us, some things or coincidences that make us stop and think, magic does exist in some form, and in my make believe world... I'd have to say I am a Gryffindor, good, honest and true to heart, but daring... risk takers, and going for the adventure. Because lets face it, in real life, there is just so much responsibility and the risk of losing our loved ones, or leaving them is too great.
ReplyDeleteI also have to say I love that Its emblematic animal is the lion, and its colors are scarlet and gold.
Favorite movie or book.. I'd have to say the Deathly Hallows Part 1, the special affects, the romance blossoming, and the magic.. is amazing. The imagination is wonderful.
